A GRAN has launched a lawsuit against her local bank after staff refused to believe that her name was FANNY BATTER!
Fanny, 59, was attempting to open an account at a branch of Third Agricultural Bank in Miami, Florida. But despite showing several forms of ID, including her social security card and passport, staff would not believe that was her real name.
Fanny, a retired shop assistant said "I was made to feel about one inch tall. They were talking to me first as though I was some sort of joke and later as though I was a criminal. "
Mrs Batter is asking for £1 million punitive damages and a full apology from the bank.
