Yahoo posts this excellent note about German company Siemens, which is building 785 carriages for South West Trains (SWT) spending £10m in an attempt to replicate the dilapidated rail track used by its British customers, they say they "don't want any nasty surprises" when the trains enter service. I admire the dedication to QA, but it sure says something about the state of our railways.
